Panic of 1819

-comes in wake of Year Without A Summer
-immediately afterwards giant speculative bubble emerges among various banks
-concludes with worthless notes being printed by various banks around the US
-then cascade of financial failures across the US

Panic of 1835

-after British Wars > Popular Revolution (1827-9) a lot of private banks issue their currency
-paper currency which serves role as paper notes
-caused by collapse of several British banks under Heads of British Isles > 1834-1837 Samuel Whitbread (Radical)
-Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, several others

Panic of 1842

-caused by overspeculation in the new Luisiana territories incorporated following the US's Wars > Luisiana War (1823-8)
-as well as American Presidents > 1833-1837 Henry Clay (Democratic)'s infrastructure policies allowing for more canals and Semaphore system, reducing time for exporting items
-with the British Wars > New Granadine War of Independence (1848-52), trans-Caribbean slave trade interrupted
-results in price of slave going down tremendously, wreaking havoc on southern economy
-and slaves being used as collateral by the Bank of the United States means Bank overnight becomes largest slaveowner in the United States
-American Presidents > 1845-1852 Daniel Webster (Democratic) † successfully arranges deal in which Bank sends slaves to United States of Fredonia

Panic of 1863

-occurs with gold from California Gold Rush beginning to taper out in the US
-causes global financial crisis
-Californian gold being entirely blocked by Buenaventura's Wars > Buenaventuran War of Independence (1864-7) worsens this economic crisis

Panic of 1895

-caused by French Wars > Fifth French War (1892-5)

Panic of 1911

-begins with collapse of Barings Bank
-over a series of bad but very high investments abroad that go incredibly bad
-bank totally collapses, its debts are called in to pay its debts in turn
-this then forces banks which made loans to them to call in their debts
-causing a brutal chain reaction which spreads because Barings is heavily connected to abroad networks
-spreads around the world including the US and beyond
-and causes Great Depression (1911-1926)

Panic of 1937

-result of French Wars > Sixth French War (1937-41)
-mass selloff of foreign portfolio investments in both British Isles and US
-results in run on the banks
-a swift recovery in the US, but with the British Isles faced with British Wars > Hindustani War of Independence (1936-9) it enhances financial chaos
